WKU Center for Sustainable Environmental and Ecosystem Research
WKU Center for Sustainable Environmental and Ecosystem Research
The research center explores approaches for the sustainable development of environment and ecosystems from four major dimensions: water (developing and optimizing membrane‑based seawater desalination processes to reduce energy consumption), soil (terrestrial‑aquatic ecosystem cycles), plants (species evolution and biological environmental responses), and fungi (biological activities). Special attention is paid to the interconnections among agriculture, environmental sustainability, science and human society.
