Notification of 2019 Summer and Fall Term Course Registration

Course Registration for 2019 Summer and Fall term will start in May 2019. You have to go to see your academic advisor for the advisement before the course registration. Here is the information in details:

 

  1. When shall I go to see my academic advisor?

Office hours between April 26, 2019 and May 9, 2019.

Please reserve your advisement time in advance with your academic advisor. Your registration hold will be removed after the advisement. Hold removal information can be checked in Keanwise (Academic Profile-Student Restrictions)

 

  1. If I do not know who is my academic advisor?

If you do not know who is your academic advisor, please log into Keanwise to check it. (Academic Profile-My Profile- Advisor Name) You can also see your academic advisor’s email information on that page. If your advisor information is incorrect, please go to the Dean’s office of each college for updating.

 

  1. When can I start to register for my courses in Keanwise?

Students are divided into different groups based on the credits earned or Kean ID number. Different groups have different start time.

Note: You can check your credits gained information in Keanwise (Academic Profile- Transcript-Total Earned Credits).

 

Registration system will close on May 17, 2019, at 4:00 PM (Beijing time)

 

Registration re-opens (Beijing Time):

August 29, 2019 9: 00 PM – September 9, 2019 ending at 4:00 PM

All students may continue to add, drop, or change classes via KeanWISE during this period. Withdrawal Deadline information can be seen on academic calendar.

 

A few reminders:

WKU has a university-wide advising policy. Academic Advisement is MANDATORY each semester before course registration. Holds are placed on students KeanWise accounts. Students must consult with their assigned advisor each semester to have the hold removed.

Enrollment in some courses is restricted to certain student populations, e.g., majors or seniors.

If class you are attempting to register for requires petition approval, you must request this from the department or Dean’s office that offers the course.

The University reserves the right to restrict or drop a student’s registration in any course offered or to cancel courses announced.
