2026夏秋课程注册通知
Dear WKU Students,
Please be advised that priority course registration for the Summer & Fall of 2026 will begin on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM (Beijing time). The courses will be published later this week. You may then begin planning your Summer and Fall course schedule via the Student Self-Service.
Students will be assigned to one of the nine registration priority groups:
-
Groups 2 through 7 are for undergraduate non-freshmen, based on the number of credit hours earned prior to the start of the Spring 2026 semester. The schedule below defines the credit hour range and registration dates for each priority group.
-
Groups 8 and 9 are for freshmen who were randomly assigned to the last two groups in the last registration cycle. Following the statement in the notification email of ‘Winter & Spring 2026 Course Registration’, the registration order for students who were in Groups 9 and 10 last registration cycle has now been reversed for this cycle. You can view your designated group in the upper right corner of the Student Self-Service. The randomization process took place with representatives from the Student Government, the Student Director and Alpha present.
The registration system will restrict students from registering prior to their assigned day and time.
The registration system will close on May 20th at 6:00 AM (Beijing time) and will reopen on May 26th at 9:00 AM (Beijing time). After reopening on May 26th, registration will remain open until the add/drop deadline of the respective term. During the closed period, colleges reserve the right to release additional seats, such as by removing restrictions, before registration reopens to all students.
The ONCE KU Course Registration Application will open group by group, starting on May 27th at 9:00 AM (Beijing time). For detailed timeslots, please refer to the registration calendar below. Course sections with an active waitlist will only become available in the ONCE KU Course Registration Application starting five calendar days prior to the beginning of the term, with the term start date excluded from the calculation, at 9:00 AM Beijing time.
Please refer to the Academic Calendar for add/drop dates and other important deadlines - https://www.wku.edu.cn/en/academics/academic-calendar.
You can check your earned credits in the Student Self-Service by logging into your account and selecting Academics > Student Planning > My Progress.
Preparing for Registration:
Complete FERPA Preference Submission - You will not be able to access the ONCE service for the KU Course Registration Application until you submit your FERPA preference via ONCE. (Applies to students in 2025 Fall / Applies to students enrolled in 2024 or later).
Meet with Academic Advisor - All students are required to meet with their academic advisor to discuss their schedules for the upcoming term. If you have not met with your advisor yet, please do so as soon as possible.
Schedule subject to Change - Course information is subject to change after publishing. We encourage you to check your planned courses again before registration.
Waitlist Function - During this registration cycle, the waitlist function will be expanded to additional courses. If a course section with an active waitlist is full and you still wish to enroll in it, please add yourself to the waitlist through the Student Self-Service. Click here for detailed procedural guidance. Please note that course sections with an active waitlist will only become available in the ONCE KU Course Registration Application, intended primarily for approving course overloads for students with special circumstances, starting five calendar days prior to the beginning of the term, with the term start date excluded from the calculation, at 9:00 AM Beijing time.
Important Notes:
-
Click here for instructions on navigating course registration in the Student Self-Service.
-
Undergraduate students may repeat a course once (resulting in a total of two enrollments) if they received a grade of F, D, C, C+, or W in the original attempt. A second repeat of the same course is only permitted if both previous grades were F, D, C, C+, or W, and the ONCE KU Course Registration Application form has been approved. Courses with grades of B- or higher may not be repeated unless specified in official curriculum requirements. Graduate-level coursework cannot be repeated or recalculated even if it is completed by an undergraduate student.
-
Some course sections are restricted to students who started in a particular year; for this purpose, all undergraduate students are given a start year code within the registration system based on their start year/admitted year. You can view your designation in the upper right corner of the Student Self-Service. If you have taken a prolonged Leave of Absence and believe that the designation will disrupt your actual four-year plan, please contact the Office of the Registrar prior to the opening of registration for consideration of whether a one-time and irreversible adjustment to a later start year is appropriate. Click here for details.
-
Some course sections are restricted to specific student populations (e.g., specific majors). Special approval from the college will be required if you wish to register for a course for which you do not meet the restriction requirements. Please submit a ONCE KU Course Registration Application form.
-
If a class you are attempting to register for requires a petition approval, you must request this from the college that offers the course. Please submit a ONCE KU Course Registration Application form.
-
Closed sections will require an approved ONCE KU Course Registration Application form.
-
Click here for instructions on applying for courses via ONCE. Please note, only select TBA for instructor if you have confirmed the instructor is not assigned in the Student Self-Service. Otherwise, the form may not be acted upon. Colleges reserve the right to establish their own application review timeline.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation and please contact our office if you have any questions. Best wishes and success as we near the end of the Spring 2026 semester!
