课程重修与绩点重计新政策的实施

2024-11-08 | Registration Notification

Dear Student,

The new Course Repeat and Grade Recalculation Policy has taken effect this fall. The implementation of this policy will directly impact the upcoming registration cycle, which begins on November 19 and consists of ten priority groupings.

Students who have taken a course once and earned a grade of F, D, C, or C+ will be able to register to repeat the course through the normal self-service registration process. Students who wish to repeat a course they are currently taking will need to wait until a qualifying grade has been earned for the current term.

Attention: A new registration procedure is being implemented to facilitate the following scenarios:

  1. Students who have already repeated the course one or more times, regardless of the grades earned.
  2. Students who have earned a grade of B– or above in the course and are seeking dean's approval under extenuating circumstances to repeat the course.

In the above cases, students will be required to submit an Application for Course Repeat form. This form requires approval signatures from 1) the course instructor, 2) the dean or designated approver of the course's college, and 3) the student's dean. Please submit the Application for Course Repeat form to the student’s dean (the dean of the college where your major is housed) via email (see the email address list below). Any Course Repeat Application submitted to the dean’s office before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4th, will be automatically rejected.

Here is the list of email addresses for the “Approval from the Dean of the college where the student's major is housed” section on the application form:

To maintain an organized registration procedure, the Office of the Registrar will begin accepting and processing signed application forms only after a designated date (9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4th), following the opening of self-service registration for each of the ten registration priority groups. Our office understands that you may experience a delay in registering during the priority period. We appreciate your patience and are here to support you throughout the registration process.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation. Please contact our office if you have any questions.
