Biography
Professor Hing Kai Chan joined the College of Business and Public Management at Wenzhou-Kean University in March 2025. Professor Chan has authored over 250 academic articles and 9 monographs/edited volumes. His research has been featured in leading journals such as Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Decision Support Systems, and various IEEE Transactions.
Currently, Professor Chan serves as the Co-Editor of Industrial Management & Data Systems and an Associate Editor of Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review. Additionally, he is an Editorial Board Member (or similar role) for esteemed journals such as International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics. Over the years, he has (co-)edited more than 20 special issues for highly regarded international journals. Professor Chan acquired extensive experience in the electronic manufacturing industry prior to joining the academia.
