Vinita Gaikwad


Dr. Vinita Gaikwad has been teaching at WKU since the time it first opened its doors in 2012. As one of the pioneer instructors, Dr. Gaikwad has seen the institution evolve from a mere one-floor-university to a sprawling campus within five years. Before coming to Wenzhou to teach at WKU, Dr. Gaikwad taught at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, for four years. She is a dynamic instructor who loves her profession and gives her best to educating learners for life. She comes from India and has received her education in India and in Britain. She completed her PhD in Education with an emphasis in teaching second language writing from the University of Exeter, UK. Her research interests lie in areas such as second language writing, contextualized grammar teaching, business discourse analysis, and others. Dr. Vinita has published several articles on the subject of teaching grammar and writing, and is currently writing a resource book on the teaching of grammar and writing.
